SI Brixham - Christmas Shoe Boxes 2025
Christmas Shoe Boxes 2025
Members of Brixham Soroptimists met to fill Christmas Shoe Boxes at one of our ladies home. 40 shoe boxes were filled and these will be going to children in the Ukraine. A very pleasant evening was enjoyed by all with the usual refreshments provided by our hostess which was gratefully received.
Our photograph shows our newest member with some of the completed shoe boxes.
SI Brixham Literacy Award - 2025
Literacy Award at St Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School
Soroptimist International of Brixham President Gill Franklin and club members, Anne Stokes and Chrissie Sanders attended St. Margaret Clitherow Catholic Primary School in Brixham on Friday July 11th. Year 4 pupils had taken part in the Brixham Soroptimist Literacy Award.
The children had attended a workshop with a local author and had been challenged to create a story entitled “The Tunnel” involving action and speech, the children having been working on the use of speech marks in class.
The winner was awarded a trophy and an Amazon gift card. All of the children were awarded a certificate, two of which were Highly Commended.
